My Journey

I feel like I have lived many many lives in this one life.  There is a lot to unpack but for now I will touch on my yoga journey started back in 2009 after a very intense 10-day trip to the jungles of Peru. Those experiences were profound and catapulted me into an immediate deep dive into yoga with 500 hours of training in Seattle and Edmonds and a breath work healer intensive in New Mexico with David Elliott.

In 2012, my family and I moved to the Sacred Valley of Peru for the two years. We lived a few hours away from Machu Picchu. I can't even begin to share those experiences. They were so wide and deep, life changing. The re-entry into the U.S. was a shock as well and I was going through a family dismantling. It impacted me at every level; physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual. I have spent the last six years getting through deep loss with the dissolution of my marriage, depression, anxiety, battles with self-worth and barely kept my inner spark alive. I made it through that though and I am grateful everyday I am still here and can ground in the experience of it all and those experiences inform life, perspective and practices now.

In June of 2021, I recently embarked on Pilates Reformer Training and am very excited to shift to offering private Pilates sessions soon. For me, Pilates allows me to feel the potential strength and wholesome expression of my body. Coming into 2022, I look forward to guiding others through finding their optimal postural alignment, building strength, awareness and flexibility so they can truly enjoy life at any age.

At this time the whole world, every country, state and city is going through an extreme health and financial crisis. The pandemic of 2020, Covid-19. It is critical at this time that we remain open to changes and shifts, inviting in wellness and compassion.
