Insight Breathing Sessions

What is Insight Breathing?
​

Insight Breathing is what I call the breath work practice I teach and guide. This is an active breathing meditation that gives your brain something to focus on while your physical and emotional bodies release stuck energy. It’s also a tool that allows you access to your feelings and the ability to dialog with them. With discipline and practice, healing emotional response patterns that may have been established in early childhood is possible. This type of breathing allows the monkey mind to relax and the physical body to clear. Insights can come in and clarity can be gained from being in this altered state of consciousness that is reached.

This is a simple breathing technique that is safe and easy to learn and a practice you can maintain on your own. The breath is the only autonomic function of the nervous system that can be consciously influenced. Our breath is our greatest tool and the conduit between the heart and consciousness.

The basis for this self-healing modality founded by my teacher, David Elliott, allows us to cultivate and elevate our ability to deeply love ourselves even when it feels really hard. I am a certified Breathwork Facilitator and have been guiding this specific breath work since 2011.

Schedule a Virtual Breath Work Session

I encourage you be somewhere quiet and where you will not be disturbed. Set an intentional space, be open and trust the intelligence of your own body.

 

Although this is a simple technique, it can be very strong in its affect. Many people experience very deep insights, emotions or releases of past traumas.

​

I hold a sacred container for you and use specific music, instruments such as a rattle, a deer skin Lakota drum, and moldavite alchemy bowl for journeying tools and energy guidance.

Session Format

 

  • Opening sacred space

  • Breathing technique introduced and potential sensations discussed

  • Setting intention

  • Begin breath work

  • Slow reentry back to the thinking mind

  • Open space to share if you like

  • Closing

​

You will be laying in a prone position, relaxed and either on a Thai Yoga Mat on the floor or slightly

elevated on a Futon.  Sometimes the private sessions can be more intense as it is often easier to

allow the monkey mind to become more quiet and your feeling mind to be more relaxed.

 

Please eat lightly two hours before the session and drink plenty of water. If booking multiple sessions, allow at-least a week for processing your experience between, if not more.

 

Cost: Sliding scale for group sessions during COVID-19 Stay-at-home orders. $25 - $40 per person. Pay what you can. Virtual sessions will be offered over Zoom and will not be recorded for your privacy.

Private Sessions

​

If you have experienced the group breathing circles a private session is similar

but it is just you and I. The sacred space is opened and then we discuss any issues or questions

you may have or something in particular you would like to release or invite in.

​

Private $100  (90 minute 1:1 session)  Couple and small private group sessions available as well.
